HELPLESSNESS FETISH - PUBLIC HUMILIATION AROUSAL

I'd really like to get a handle on this one.
I know fetishes can't be rationally understood,
or they wouldn't be fetishes. But why otherwise
strong people, often Alpha males and females, should
be aroused by weakness,  begging, public humiliation
and being demeaned in such extreme ways
as to be horrifying and hilarious at the same time.
I understand the joys of inflicting
and receiving pain...there are endorphins involved... etc.
But sexual arousal in being utterly powerless, has me groping
in the dark, as to how to get my mind around it. This
one makes no sense at all.

Yes, I understand many people are masochists,
or have masochistic tendencies - they enjoy
being verbally degraded. This I get. This can be fun.
This can be a turn on... but this "Tease and Denial"
business, OK I get that, too...
And when I say business, I mean business.
The SEX FETISH INDUSTRY is a billion dollar a year
industry.

I had a pal who was a dominatrix. Twenty years
ago she'd get paid $350.00 an hour for verbally
abusing her male clients, maybe use a riding crop on them
but maybe not. At the end of the session, all the while
telling the fella what a dweeb he is and how small and worthless his penis is, she'd order the guy to crawl off
to the front door on his hands and knees... Then she'd
tell the guy to masturbate into his own shoes.
And right after he'd done that, she'd make
him put on the same shoes, and she'd tell
him to, "GET OUT!"
And for that she'd get paid three hundred and fifty
dollars up front. I'm told it would be more now.
I'm sure there are quite a few women out there
who'd wish they could treat there husbands that way -
and for half the price!

Oh, well! As I say, there's no rational understanding
of much of this fetish business. But I'd like to
at least have a psychological grasp of some of the
situations.

If anybody knows anything about any of
these situations, please feel free to make some comments
and maybe we'll get some discussions
going.

I'm attempting to "Enable Comments" - learn how
to do it on Blogger... in order to keep this Blog informal
so we can have relaxed discussions on embarrassing
subjects.

                                                  Cheers!
